01What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags or scripts that remember preferences, support security or help understand website use.
Some technologies last only for the browsing session. Others remain for a defined period or until they are removed through browser or consent settings.
02Strictly necessary technologies
These support functions that are required for the website to operate safely and reliably. They may be used for security, load management, consent recording, accessibility, session continuity or technical fault prevention.
Because they are necessary to provide the website or remember a privacy choice, they may operate without optional consent. Blocking them through a browser may affect parts of the site.
03Preference and functional technologies
These may remember choices such as display preferences or interface settings so the website behaves consistently on a return visit.
Where a function is not essential, it should be treated as optional and controlled through the available consent arrangements.
04Analytics and performance
Optional analytics may help OKLUS understand broad patterns such as which pages are visited, whether pages load correctly and how people move through the website. This can support usability and content improvement.
Where used, OKLUS intends to favour proportionate configuration, limited retention and aggregated reporting. Analytics should not be presented as a method of identifying individual visitors.
05Marketing technologies
The current website is not intended to rely on intrusive behavioural advertising. If marketing or campaign-measurement technologies are introduced, they should be clearly identified and should not operate before the appropriate choice has been made.
06Managing your choices
Where optional technologies are available, you should be able to accept, reject or adjust them through the website's consent control. A recorded choice may itself require a necessary cookie or local-storage entry.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Browser controls vary, and blocking all storage may prevent preferences or parts of the website from working as expected.
Withdrawing optional consent should be as straightforward as giving it. Changing a choice affects future use but may not automatically remove information already processed lawfully.
07Embedded content and third parties
Pages may link to or, in future, embed services supplied by third parties, such as video, maps, forms or analytics. Those providers may set their own technologies when their content is loaded.
Third-party use is governed by the provider's own privacy and cookie information. OKLUS will seek to avoid loading optional third-party technologies before the relevant consent where practical.
08Duration and policy updates
Cookie duration depends on its purpose. Session technologies expire when the browser closes, while persistent technologies may remain for a stated period. Optional services should use no longer a duration than reasonably necessary.
This policy may be updated when the website, suppliers or consent arrangements change. The review date above will be revised when material changes are made.
